Nazi party solidification - 5.0 out of 5 based on 1 vote

Nazi party solidification is the only answer. If Nazis had the power to treat the Jews as horribly as they were by 1938 starting in 1933 they would have, but they did not have the backing or enough support do so yet. Over the course of these years the party rooted its power structure, blasted antisemitic propaganda and systematically jailed their opposition. As they did this over this time span they were able to increase and worsen their harassment of Jews. They needed the either the support or the complacent obedience of the German people and over this time period they won it.
In short, anti-Semitic propaganda fueled by Hitler's influence. Hitler believed that Jewish people were trying to control the country through business and finance, so he strongly urged people to ostracize and pretty much bully Jewish people. As Hitler's influence became more solid, treatment of Jewish people in Germany steadily worsened.

Guessing you are asking about in Germany. Well for starters 1933 was the year that Hitler and the Nazi party replaced the Weimar Republic. Nazi rhetoric blamed Jews for such things as the loss of WWI. The Jews were the Nazi scapegoat and their chastisement provided solutions to Germany's problems. Over the course of these 6 years conditions worsened for Jews and the Nazis solidified their hold. The highest % of votes the Nazi party every received was somewhere in the 40s, but due to Germany's multiparty system this was a clear majority. 33-39 served as a period of gradually easing Germany into supporting the Reich. In addition the party eliminated opposition and bombarded the public with propaganda, usually extremely antisemitic.

U.S. Senator

U.S. Senator - 5.0 out of 5 based on 1 vote

As a United States Senator during the Reconstruction Period, I’m writing this so that the future of America can realize that this period in history truly made an impact on United States of America. The Civil War was the bloodiest war that was fought on American Soil. Although both sides expected the conflicts to be over in just matter of days, it lasted for tumultuous years. From 1861’ to 1865’, the war pitted brother against brothers, neighbor, against neighbors. This period of Reconstruction was the time when our nation attempted to mend its broken relations with the South and rebuild after destructive war and lasted until 1877’.

The Radical Republicans were a loose faction of American Politicians with the Republican Party from 1854’ which was before the American Civil War. The Radical Republicans had been opposed to slavery during the war and after the war to support equal rights for freedmen “the newly freed slaves”, such as the measures ensuring the rights to vote; passage of the Reconstructions Acts, and also harsh treatment of Ex-Confederates. The Radicals were vigorously opposed by the Democratic Party and also sometimes by more moderate Republicans. The Radical Republicans opposed President Abraham Lincoln’s terms for reuniting the U.S. during the Reconstruction, Which begun in 1863’ this was viewed as to lenient, they proposed an “Ironclad Oath”(which Lincoln Blocked) and Wade-Davis Bill whom (which vetoed) in 1864’. But the Radicals did control the Joint Committee on Reconstruction, where they demanded a more aggressive prosecution of war, the faster end to slavery and also the total destruction of the Confederacy. After the assassination of Lincoln, Vice President Andrew Johnson became president, although he appeared at first to be a Radical, he broke with them and the Radicals and Johnson became embroiled in a bitter struggle. After Johnson violated the Tenure of Office Act by dismissing Secretary of War Edwin M. Stanton, the House of Representative voted to impeach him; also he escaped removal from office by the Senate by a single vote in 1868’, but also had lost most of his power.

The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy

The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy - 5.0 out of 5 based on 1 vote

On November 22nd 1963 our nation was shaken to its core as President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. Several months later the Warren Commission found that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone assassin. Since the Warren Report was released millions of Americans believe that there was in fact another shooter. Although the government is sticking to the original findings of the Warren Report, the public has manufactured hundreds of conspiracy theories and some actually have some validity. The assassination of President Kennedy is one of the most tragic events in our nation’s history, however, many people argue about what actually happened that day.
There are many places where one can find information on what happened in Dallas that day. Personally, I found the library here on campus to be very useful. Also, magazines such as Time and Newsweek have articles in their archives that were published shortly after Kennedy was assassinated. These articles really help to give one an insight to how the nation was reacting right after Kennedy died. There are also many sights that one can find on the internet that give detailed descriptions of multiple conspiracy theories. One method that I found very effective to finding primary sources was to check the archives of newspapers and other journalistic publications. However just typing my topic into search engines proved to be far less useful, and most of the sources that it came up with were very unreliable. One way I found to test the credibility of a source is to ask myself a series of questions. The questions that I would typically ask myself were “was/is this source published in a credible journal/paper?” or, “Has this source come from a government agency?”. Another question I would ask is “When was this source published? And how does it coincide with the date of the incident?.” I found that this was the best way to find if a certain source is credible.

Unitary Government

Unitary Government - 5.0 out of 5 based on 1 vote

Unitary Government – It is often described as a centralized government. It is a government in which all powers held by the government belong to a single, central agency. The central government creates local units of government for its own convenience. Most government in the world are unitary. Great Britain is an illustration of the type. A single cental base – the Parliament- holds all the power of the British government. Local governments do exist but solely to relieve Parliament of burdens it could perform only with difficulty and inconvenience.
1. Uniform policies, laws, political, enforcement, and administration
throughout the country
2. Less duplication of services and fewer conflicts between national and local governments
3. Greater unity and stability
1. Central government out of touch with local concerns
2. Slow in meeting local problems
3. If the central government gets too involved in local problems it may not meet the needs of all its citizens

Confederate Government – A confederate government is an alliance of independent states. A central organ – the confederate government – has the power to handle only those matters that the member states have assigned to it. Typically, confederate governments have had limited powers and only in such fields as defense and foreign commerce. In our own history, the United States under the Articles of Confederation (1781 to 1789) and the Confederate States of America (1861-1865) are examples of the form. Confederations are very rare in today’s world. The European Union is the closest approach to a confederation today.

A World Apart: A comparison of the correctional systems of America and Turkey

A World Apart: A comparison of the correctional systems of America and Turkey - 5.0 out of 5 based on 1 vote

A correctional system is a network of governmental agencies that administer a jurisdiction’s prisons and parole system (Garner, 2009). Sentences imposed upon offenders range from probation to serving time in prison. Financial penalties may be given, including fines, forfeiture, and restitution. In some countries corporal punishment still exists. Halfway houses, city and county jails, and federal prisons all fall under the corrections umbrella. Different countries around the world have different ways of dealing with criminal behavior. To illustrate some of distinctions and parallels of criminal justice within the world, two very different countries’ correctional systems should be compared. The United States of America and Turkey are two very different countries geographically, culturally, and politically; therefore, comparing correctional systems of these two countries would be preferable.
The United States and Turkey both separate prisoners into remanded or pre-trial detention prisoners, and convicted prisoners (prisoners who already possess their sentences). Institutions in America are separated into federal and state correctional facilities. State facilities may also be broken down into city and county jails. The correctional facilities in the United States can be further broken down by security. The Supermax prison is the highest security prison which houses the most dangerous inmates. This is where prisoners are in lockdown 23 hours a day in a single cell and have no interaction with any other inmates. They are allowed one hour of time outside their cell and all meals are given to them in their cell for the safety of the guards. The next level is maximum security, where prisoners are allowed out of their cells one hour a day and must remain inside a specific area and may or may not have another prisoner in their cell. Like the supermax facilities, maximum security facilities maintain direct and constant supervision on the inmates. Medium security is under maximum and these prisoners may sleep in dormitories and may have lockers to store possessions with less supervision over the internal movements of the prisoners.
